ImgSize Content Plugin for Total Commander

Post by *J.Bl »

The ImgSize Content Plugin for Total Commander (wdx) is now available in the Version v2.02, that includes a 64-bit edition of the plugin. It supports Unicode.

You can find it on the official Total Commander Addons page at
www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm#content (english)
www.ghisler.com/dplugins.htm#content (german)
www.ghisler.com/fplugins.htm#content (french)

... and you can get it from here
http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/wdx_ImgSize.html

... and from here
www.bleichroth.info/pub/wdx

It is on the "List of 64-bit plugins and addons" which is part of the Total Commander Wiki
http://ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/List_of_64-bit_plugins

The updated Version has now Unicode/longfilename support, 64bit (wdx64), Versions infos added, Dpi column added, Sorting properties (columns: Orientation, Size) improved, Plugin delay mode changed (configurable).

Please put suggestions, hints, bug reports about this plugin here in this thread.

Hello Jochen

thanks for the update. I use the plugin still a long time.

Maybe you could add the link of this thread to the download-site in totalcmd.net?

while installation of wdx_ImgSize_2.02.zip Kaspersky 6.0.3.837 shows:

gefunden: trojanisches Programm Trojan-Spy.Win32.KeyLogger.zei Datei: C:\...\ImgSize.wdx

As workaround, I will use ImgSize.wdx old version 2005-07-03(?)

There is not virus or trojan in the Plugin.

Please try it by your own on virustotal.com with imgsze.wdx

File name: ImgSize.wdx
Detection ratio: 2 / 42

Only the 2 of 42 says:
Comodo UnclassifiedMalware 20120524
Kaspersky Trojan-Spy.Win32.KeyLogger.zei 20120524

But they are wrong.

I will try to mail it to Kaspersky.

No need for that. Try to put ImgSize.wdx on whitelist (or so) of your Kaspersky installation.

I've been thinking that it is a hoax.
I will try to mail it to Kaspersky.
Thank you, good idea, because I use a company computer and can not change the anti-virus.

Todays answer from Kaspersky (I send my request today. The answer - quoted below - from Kaspersky came within 1 hour):
Kaspersky wrote:Hello,

Sorry, it was a false detection. It will be fixed in the next update.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your hint. It is definately false-positive. I will do the same request as at Kaspersky to McAffee.

With imgsize's custom column I have some strange BPP values on all of my .tif files. JPG's and PNG's are OK. Is it normal for TIF or is it some bug in this plugin?

I'd like to post the screenshot but I can't because of this forum policy, so I kinda show it like this, right column is a BPP:

Code: Select all

DSCN3304.JPG 1600x1200 24
DSCN3305.JPG 1600x1200 24
DSCN3306.JPG 1600x1200 24
DSC345.png 900x1509 24
final.tif 10616x7306 242
Scan-121121-0001.tif 6856x4608 44760
Scan-121121-0002.tif 6856x4608 218
Scan-121121-0003.tif 6763x4528 5598
PS. Thanks for the great plugin by the way :)

Thank you for this hint. I will check it.

Scan-121121-0003.tif 6763x4528 5598
Is it possible to send this Tif-Images to me to check it (via address within link impressum on my plugin download page)?

Sure, I send couple of my tiffs. This ones:

Code: Select all

1.tif	616x504	19838
2.tif	616x504	206
But this behavior not with _some_ TIF images - it with all of tiffs I download, create in image editors or convert from jpgs with different software. No one tiff shows BPP in imgsize properly.

Thanks for the warning, I will ask the author. It's strange that only the 32-bit version is detected as a troyan, but the scanners are not agreeing on what malware it contains.
