while installation of wdx_ImgSize_2.02.zip Kaspersky 6.0.3.837 shows:
gefunden: trojanisches Programm Trojan-Spy.Win32.KeyLogger.zei Datei: C:\...\ImgSize.wdx
As workaround, I will use ImgSize.wdx old version 2005-07-03(?)

There is not virus or trojan in the Plugin.tom*de wrote:gefunden: trojanisches Programm Trojan-Spy.Win32.KeyLogger.zei Datei: C:\...\ImgSize.wdx
Please try it by your own on virustotal.com with imgsze.wdx

File name: ImgSize.wdx

Only the 2 of 42 says:
Comodo UnclassifiedMalware 20120524
Kaspersky Trojan-Spy.Win32.KeyLogger.zei 20120524
But they are wrong.
I will try to mail it to Kaspersky.
No need for that. Try to put ImgSize.wdx on whitelist (or so) of your Kaspersky installation.tom*de wrote:As workaround, I will use ImgSize.wdx old version 2005-07-03(?)

I've been thinking that it is a hoax. There is not virus or trojan in the Plugin.
Thank you, good idea, because I use a company computer and can not change the anti-virus.I will try to mail it to Kaspersky.

McAffee also detects imgsize.wdx as trojan: Image: http://tbeu.de/forum/imgsize.png
TC plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max / Inventor / Revit Preview, FileInDir, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP), MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, Mover, SetFolderDate, Solid Edge Preview, Zip2Zero and more
Todays answer from Kaspersky (I send my request today. The answer - quoted below - from Kaspersky came within 1 hour):tom*de wrote:Thank you, good idea, because I use a company computer and can not change the anti-virus.I will try to mail it to Kaspersky.

Thank you for your hint. It is definately false-positive. I will do the same request as at Kaspersky to McAffee.tbeu wrote:McAffee also detects imgsize.wdx as trojan: Image: http://tbeu.de/forum/imgsize.png

With imgsize's custom column I have some strange BPP values on all of my .tif files. JPG's and PNG's are OK. Is it normal for TIF or is it some bug in this plugin?
I'd like to post the screenshot but I can't because of this forum policy, so I kinda show it like this, right column is a BPP:
PS. Thanks for the great plugin by the way :)

Sure, I send couple of my tiffs. This ones:
But this behavior not with _some_ TIF images - it with all of tiffs I download, create in image editors or convert from jpgs with different software. No one tiff shows BPP in imgsize properly.
Code: Select all
1.tif 616x504 19838
2.tif 616x504 206
I have downloaded version 2.02 but my antivirus (BitDefender 2013) blocked it.

Thanks for the warning, I will ask the author. It's strange that only the 32-bit version is detected as a troyan, but the scanners are not agreeing on what malware it contains.
