Can you please advise as to the default locations where Total Commander stores the wincmd.ini, the license key file and the file that's used to store configured directories and FTP connections (on Windows XP)?
My hard drive recently crashed - I was able to save the Documents and Settings folder before the crash but don't know if these files are saved to this directory or another location.
Thank you.

Hi, bdesatnik. I had a similar experience with my new HDD recently. Looks like one can't trust anything nowadays.
Anyway, there are a few possible locations of your configuration files. On WinXP, it's typically one of these:
1. the Windows directory (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\)
2. a directory, where you installed your TC (e.g. C:\totalcmd\)
3. your Documents and Settings directory (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\)
4. your application data directory (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\GHISLER\)
wincmd.ini (general settings), wcx_ftp.ini (FPT connections) and also some plugin configuration data are usually all in the same directory.
wincmd.key (license key) is in TC's installation folder.

You can read more about TC's configuration files at http://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/Backup
Since wincmd.key is stored in TC's program directory, you have most likely lost it - you can order a new key by writing an email to the author.
