Currently, if you press Alt-Shift-Enter (or you make a button for it), TC will calculate how much space is used by each directory and put that number in place of the <DIR> marker in the Full view. However, if you switch tabs and then go back, all the totals will be gone.
It would be nice if TC preserved that display when switching tabs.
It would also be helpful if TC preserved that display when adding or deleting files from the root directory.
For example, let's say that I have 200 directories with hundreds of files in each one. I press Alt-Shift-Enter and TC counts all the dirs, which takes a little bit of time. I then delete a small file from the root directory. I haven't altered the contents of the sub-directories at all, but TC still 'forgets' all the totals.
I can understand not keeping the counts when the contents of the sub-directories change, as the old counts would no longer be accurate, but as long as you're not changing the sub-dirs, TC should remember the totals and keep them displayed until you either change the directory in that tab, or you change the contents of one of the directories, such as by dropping a file into one of them.
At the very least, it should keep the totals when just switching tabs.
