[8.01rc4-x64] mouse interaction doesnt work on filtered list
Version: 8.01 rc4 x64
My QuickSearch is set to Letters - with search dialog.
1. try to drag a file to the other file browser --> the copy icon will be added to the mouse cursor
2. filter the list by typing a letter
3. try to drag a file of the filtered list --> nothing happens, no icon on the mouse and no drag-drop-interaction
I have to restart TC to get it working again.

I cannot confirm this.
Can you reproduce it with a clean ini file?

The error does not only occur on quicksearch-dialog.
Every time I press a key the complete drag-n-drop functionality stops working. I cannot drag a file to an external application and I cannot drag files from the one browser to the other.
If I drag one file to the other browser nothing happens. If I try again to drag this file directly after the first try the copy dialog opens after I moved the mouse some pixel and before I release the mouse-key. This copy dialog is the same which should open when I drag-n-drop a file normally.
I also tried to restart my computer many times but the error still exists.

When you press the letter:
1. is your list filtered so that only files starting with the that letter is shown?
2. or does the cursor just jump to the next file starting with the letter?
If 1. then you have cleared the wrong wincmd.ini.
Anyway, I still cannot reproduce it, neither with 1. (Ctrl+S) or 2.
Do you have any mouse-enhancing software running?

Hi,
I cleared the wincmd.ini which was shown by clicking on Configuration > Change Settings Files directly.
I closed TC, cleared the file, started TC and set the configuration of quicksearch to the letter-dialog
My list is filtered (Ctrl + S) like your first point states.
--------------------------
Your tip with mouse-enhancing did it.
Some days ago I installed Synergy (www.synergy-foss.org) and this was running in background. After I uninstalled it and restarted my computer everything works fine again.
Thank you.

I cannot reproduce the problem. Any clues of what I need to configure to get this problem?

How did you manage do do drag&drop while the quick search dialog was up? Here the quick search disappears immediately when I start drag&drop. I also cannot start filtering once the drag operation has started.

It was not only the filter dialog.
Every keyboard input I did caused the failing of drag-n-drop.
But here is the way I could reproduce it:
1. use quick search to search for an entry
2. click and move the entry to the other browser (the quick search input disappears)
with step 1 it wouldn't work.
without step 1, drag-n-drop worked.
I'm using Win7x64 Pro and could reproduce it with two different logitech mouses.
You can give me a version of TC (or something) which logs everything, I'll reinstall Synergy and I'll try to reproduce this behaviour.

Could you give me more details of what you were doing? I tried the following on Win7x64 pro with 32-bit and 64-bit version, and it worked in both cases:
1. Type some characters - quick search appears and jumps to a file
2. Click on that file with mouse, do not let go of mouse button -> quick search goes away
3. Drag the cursor to the other panel - cursor changes shape from forbidden to drag cursor
4. Let go the left mouse button -> copy dialog appears
5. Click on OK -> file is copied

Hmm, sounds like a problem with your Logitech mouse driver - I'm using a Microsoft mouse here. Unfortunately I don't think that I can do anything about it - just close the quick search with ESC before starting the drag.

This doesn't help.
As I wrote some posts earlier every time I use a key for another functionality the drag-n-drop stops working.
e.g. the command line is hidden in my settings. If I press arrow-right the command line gets visible and is focused. After this action the drag-n-drop stops working as well.
The only thing which helps is restarting TC.
