Repeating rename key more than twice

Post by *Eddie1506 »

Hello everyone,

I remap "rename" command from Shift+F6 to F2 and love the feature of double pressing the F2 to rename only the file, without extension.

However, I work a lot with files that have two or even three extensions and would love to see the feature that enables recursive selecting of less and less file with more F2 presses.

For example: double pressing F2 selects the part of file name before the extension. Triple pressing F2 would select for renaming the part of the file that comes before two extensions, if there are two of them and so on and so on.

Is something like this possible with TC or some plugin? I haven't been able to find the config value for it.

If not, can you consider this a feature suggestion and move the thread to the appropriate forum.

Thanks for reading!
