file mask for packer

Post by *Molecule »

... add a file mask for file archive/packer operations

the mask for file copy/move operations is already just wonderful ...

(probably already thought of ... but searchs on zip mask and pack mask = null)

You have the full set of selections in TC before you invoke the pack command. No need for additional masks later while packing.

Copy/Move gives a second window with an option to copy/move "Only files of this type:" [window to define mask]. This is a very nice option.

File-Pack gives an option panel, but file mask is not one of them (that I can see). There are times I'd like to archive only files of selected types. The workaround is Branch view, hand select the file types, sorted by extension, then start file pack. During archive, the files are reorganized (from temporary branch view for selection purposes) back into their original folders.
