invisible subdirectories in c:\%user%\appdata

the subdirectory

C:\%user%\AppData\Microsoft is not visible in TC

It is visible in Win Explorer

I think that this is a different issue than the one posted in 2008 and commented in wiki. Perhaps I am incorrect. But I need to compare some files to search down a profile corruption.
