file copy with crash managing

Post by *Michael REMY »

hi,

a couple of day ago, i faced to a hard drive with many corrupted files which i cannot copy using total commander.
All files were video files.

As a video is useful even without the end of file, i could hope TC will let me copy the part of file i can read, but not. Once a file corrupted (like at 99% of its size), then TC delete the already copied part.

it would be good if we could keep the part it managed to copy.

maybe, tc could do what Unstoppable copy can do ..
Just read it :

bye
i'm an old long user of TC since the windows 3.11 release !, for the history, i came to tc when i migrate from amiga commodore to PC where they are diskmanager and directory opus there.

There is a plugin called "badcopy" which does what you need:

Unfortunately 32-bit only, so you need to use the 32-bit TC.
