Shelldetails plugin (filecount)

Post by *klappa »

Can't get it to work. Installed in both ways, through the browser window and through conf plugins. I want it to list "file count" but i can't get it to work.

Anyone else having problems?

What exactly doesn't work? Does the field show up but then does nothing, or does the field not show up at all?

The field indeed shows up but it don't count the files in directories. The field column is empty.

It may be the "on demand" version of the field. Does it show anything when you press the space bar or Alt+Shift+Enter?

Nope! It won't work. Tried both 32-bit and 64-bit.

Just for reference I tried in Windows Explorer. It does not show number of files there either. So 'filecount' is probably meant for something else than showing the amount of files in a directory. I just do not know what.

Strange it worked before. See

I also run MediaInfo plugin but that doesn't have any filecount option as far as i know.

Maybe DirSizeCalc is the better choice for this task.

Thanks it worked! But it seems i can't sort them in file count size. Nothing happens no matter the arrow in the file count column is down or up.
