automate ignore list in synchronise mode with FTP

Hello,

The ignore list does not function in FTP. Too bad, but nevertheless, you CAN use a workaround while synchronizing with FTP -> using the dropdown box between the target path (top-center in sync pane). Using f.i. '|~*.*'

My question:
By default it gives '*.*'. I would like TC to remember the last selection by default, or else use standard another default.
Second best: is there a keyboard shortcut for this dropdown box?

I'm quite sure this must be possible in TC, but HOW?
Anyone?
