An old question about disable the [..] show parent directory

The parent dir [..] is useless in most time.
All the time the way I go to parent dir is press Backspace key.

1)
I sort my file by time descend usually. When I enter a dir, the first file is the right one .
But I need press Down key once to select my file.
If I just need press down key one time in a day, I won't say any more.
But now I press down hundred times in one day .

2)
cm_GoToFirstFile can go to the first file . but there is no cm_xxx command to get the first dir. So if there is no [..] , I can just press Home key to the first dir.

So my suggest is : add a option in wincmd.ini such as ShowParentDir=0
it is very important to me.

someone like me has start a topic at

Dear ghisler , please ....
Thanks a lot.

By the way , the only function of the parent dir [..] for me is "drag and drop the selected files to [..]" , it can easy move files to the parent dir.
The drive bar can accept the drag drop event. but the two of "\ .." can't accept drag drop.

I've suggested some other treatment of the [..] line. I don't think permanent removal of this line is reasonable, but the best way is to configure both removal and all the functions I've suggested.

I don't think so.

your cm_SelectAll and cm_Copy actions is too complicated.

I just wanna as fast as possible

So , My suggestion is add a option , not removal permanent .
