File Search - Copy found finds with folder structure

Hi,

the File Search function has very useful filtering capabilities. After pushing the "apply" button I get a full list of files found with paths indicated.

However, when copying those files to a different location only the files are copied and the folder structure is lost.

Adding an option to maintain the folder structure here would be quite helpful to create selections while maintaining the folder structure.

Example: copy all mp3 files with the comment tag "best of" while maintaining the folder structure representing artist and album.
Of course there is a work around: Copying everything and then deleting the unwanted files. But this can be quite time consuming if you have huge quantities of files.

Use the "Only files of this type" field in the Copy dialog. You can define a search there.

Please try CopyTree plugin. It works as a packer plugin but performs copy to target panel instead.

Also you can save search template and use it in regular copy dialog as white suggested.
