bug in totalcommander for android? disables APPS options?

is this an issue with TC or just some strange coincidence?

i removed and reinstalled TC a few times and i can reproduce the behavior.

with TC installed "launch by default" for all my apps are greyed out and im always asked (over and over) what app should be used as default.

i installed TC 2.03 form the google app store on my moto G (android version 4.3. not rooted).

I do not have this problem on my Nexus 7 with 4.4, but a different one: Once I have chosen a default program, I can no longer use "open with".

i have tested it a few times today.

as soon as TC is installed all my apps have "launch by default" greyed out.
when i then try to open an image (jpg) i get the "open with" dialog and the former settings are reseted to default values.

for example i setup "f-stop media gallery" as my default image viewer.
JPG´s in my download folder show the f-stop app icon. images open without any questions in f-stop.

now i install TC.

what happens is, that the JPG´s in the download folder now show the default android "galerie" app icon. and when i try to open them, i am asked what app i want to open them with (always / only this time).

i choose "f-stop" and "always".... but text time i am asked again... and again....

when i unsinstall TC and reboot, then it´s back to normal.

another strange thing (i guess) is that TC alway comes up in the "launch with" dialog. no matter if i open a video or an mp3.

i meanTC is not a mp3 or video player so it should not be in that list? right?

What happens when you choose Total Commander in this "launch with" dialog? Does TC really open? Or do you get a "Save as" dialog?

One more question:
In which program do you have this problem? I tried it only within Total Commander, but you seem to have it in other apps?

TC started ... glaube ich.. muss ich nochmal testen.
ich habe TC ja normalerweise nicht ausgewählt, daher kann ich es nicht mir gewissheit sagen.

habe TC deinstalliert. teste ich nochmal und gebe dann rückmeldung.

also der fehler tritt ja nicht "in" TC auf er tritt auf wenn TC auf meinem gerät installiert ist.
dann kann ich bei keinem program mehr auf die "standardmäßig starten" option zugreifen. da sie ausgegraut ist .. bei ALLEN apps.

dieser button ist bei mir für ALLE apps deaktiviert sobald TC installiert ist.

ist TC deinstalliert ist das feld wieder verfügbar.

ausserdem halt das problem das sich mein handy die ausgewählten "standard apps" nicht merkt und vorher gewählte standard apps zurückgesetzt werden, sobald TC installiert ist.

vorher f-stop für JPG dateien ausgewählt als standard app .... nach TC installation sehe ich plötzliche wieder das "galerie" icon für JPG´s und werde ständig gefragt mit welcher app ich JPG´s öffnen möchte.

ok habe TC nochmal installiert.

vorher lief alles einwandfrei.
f-stop als standard bildbetrachter eingetragen:

dann TC installiert und zum download ordner gewechselt.
nicht mit TC sondern der standard android app.

beim wechseln in das verzeichnis sehe ich immer noch die f-stop icons wie auf BILD1.
aber wenn ich ein JPG auswähle kommt folgendes window.

wähle ich jetzt TC aus kommt als nächstes der "save as" screen und eine verzeichnisliste.

normalerweise würde ich das aber nicht machen. ich würde f-stop auswählen und "immer" anklicken. dann öffnet sich f-stop auch.

ABER.... mache ich das gleiche prozedere nochmal... sehe ich folgendes wenn ich wieder über das standard android app (BILD2) in den download folder gehe:

und so geht das endlos weiter.

desweitern sind die buttons "standard entfernen" für alle apps ausgegraut sobald TC installiert ist.

ich kann diesen fehler auf meinem MOTO G mit android 4.3 beliebig reproduzieren.

rekapitulation..

sobald TC installiert wurde sind alle vorher festgelegten "öffnen mit" standards weg.

neue "öffnen mit" standards lassen sich nicht festlegen. man kann "immer" anklicken das wird aber ignoriert.

der "standard entfernen" button" ist für alle apps ausgegraut.

Das von Ihnen geschilderte Verhalten ist in der Tat sehr ungewöhnlich. Seltsamerweise tritt das auf meinem Nexus 7 aber nicht auf! Ich habe folgendes versucht:
1. Oeffnen von "Downloads"
2. Tippen auf eine jpg-Datei (vorher im Chrome über "Bild speichern" heruntergeladen)
3. Tippen auf "Galerie" und "immer"
4. Galerie schliessen
5. Tippen auf dieselbe jpg-Datei -> wird sofort in der Galerie geöffnet

Ich habe extra TC deinstalliert und neu aus dem Play Store neu installiert -> keine Aenderung.

Der Button, auf den Sie verweisen:

ist bei Apps wie Galerie, die ich als Standard festgelegt habe, nicht ausgegraut.

Laut Einstellungen - Ueber das Tablet ist Android 4.4 installiert, Build KRT16S. Ich verwende das Stock-Android, allerdings gerootet.

Vorhin habe ich Ihnen eine Testversion von Total Commander an Ihr Forum-Mail geschickt, welche die Funktion zum Speichern von Attachments nicht mehr enthält. Bitte ausprobieren, ob es damit auch noch zu Problemen kommt!
