Move items to a folder shortcut

Post by *ib »

I would like to be able to move files and folders into a folder shortcut, like it's possible in Windows Explorer (tested on Windows 8.1). I'm a registered user, using Total Commander 8.01 32 bit.

Please check this thread: Drag and Drop onto a folder link.

I bet it not only solves your problem but also answers questions you didn't even think of ;)

I don't think it would hurt if this was implemented in TC to make the transition from Explorer to TC easier for new users - if it is doable without too much extra code.

Generally I agree.
However, I happen to have found out recently that parsing .lnk files isn't as easy as one would think at first. Check yourself, on Google and stackoverflow.

TC already supports copying to .LNK target if it is selected in target panel and you enable option 'Copy to all selected folders/links in the target panel'.
