How to install mmedia plugin for video playback?

Post by *jakobjkraft »

I'm sorry to be such a noob, but can you please explain step by step how to do?

I downloaded mmedia 2.55 and extracted mmedia.wlx to plugin folder. It works for mp3 playback. But doesn't work at all for video.

I read somewhere that I have to edit mmedia.ini file, but I don't see any mmedia.ini file -- it's not there!

The readme file says to enter these 2 lines in wincmd.ini

[ListerPlugins]
0=C:\wincmd\plugin\mmedia.wlx

But WHERE IS WINCMD.INI?

Can anyone please help? Sorry to be so stupid....

Type:
CD %APPDATA%\GHISLER
in commandline and press ENTER.
This should you bring to directory where all INI files are:
WINCMD.INI
WCX_FTP.INI
MMEDIA.INI

Extracting mmedia.wlx to plugin directory is not enough. You must install it, but you don't need to install manually. If you don't disable this feature you should be prompted for install plugin while you enter wlx_mmedia32.zip or wlx_mmedia64.zip (depending on your system "bitness") inside wlx_mmedia255.zip.

Now you need only edit mmedia.ini depends on your needs - adding e.g. mp4,mkv,flv,ts,mts,mov (assuming you have all needed codecs, splitters, filters installed on your system).

READ CAREFULLY included README.TXT
It contains all needed information.
