I have been looking for a file, but I couldn't find a folder. I tried again with Windows Explorer and have discovered that the contents of the same folder are completely different than the ones in TC.
The folder is "C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local" and I was running both TC and Windows Explorer as Administrator. TC shows 5 sub folders, Windows Explorer only 2, but they are different ones. Also the contents of a folder "Microsoft" (which is the only one that is the same) are different.
I have copied the path from TC to Windows Explorer and vice versa to make sure that I'm looking at the same folder.
I'm using TC 8.51a (win32 + 64) under 64bit Windows 7 Pro.
Please help me understand what is going on and solve the situation.
Thanks!
Different folder contents in Windows Explorer and TC

Hello, Miho14.
Note:
If you install Total Commander 8.51a 32-bit+64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit (like I have done as well), this will give you in the Total Commander programme folder:
+ the complete 32-bit Total Commander programme
+ the complete 64-bit Total Commander programme
This means you can either start the 32-bit T.C., executable filename totalcmd.exe, or the 64-bit T.C., executable filename totalcmd64.exe.
If on Windows 7 64-bit you use T.C. 8.51a 32-bit to inspect the folder "C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local" and at the same time Windows Explorer (64-bit), in this case you are very likely experiencing this phenomenon: Windows x64: Explorer vs TC: Content of System32 different
If on Windows 7 64-bit you use T.C. 8.51a 64-bit to inspect the folder "C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local" and at the same time Windows Explorer (64-bit) and they still look different, in this case you have configured
+ T.C. 8.51a to display hidden and system objects
+ Windows Explorer not to display all hidden and system objects.
Kind regards,
Karl
