Listing contents of archives with non standard extensions

Post by *ymmv »

I used to be able to open rar/zip archives with non standard extensions like .epub or .cbz in the opposite file window with CTRL + Right Arrow, but it seems something has changed in the latest version of Total Commander because I can't get this function to work. CTRL + Page Down still works, but that command show the files in the archive in the current file window. I want the files to show in the opposite window.

Am I missing something or has TC indeed changed this function?

You should change new INI key CtrlArrowOpenArchive value, e.g. to 2 (refer to TOTALCMD.chm section 4.b for details).

HISTORY.TXT wrote:10.03.14 Added: wincmd.ini [Configuration] CtrlArrowOpenArchive=5: Controls whether Ctrl+Left/Right arrow opens archives or not: 0=never, 1=if ENTER opens archive, 2=if ZIPlikeDirectory=1, 3=always. Add 4 to put cursor on file if not opened. Does not affect search - feed to listbox mode (32/64)

04.03.14 Fixed: Ctrl+Left/Right arrow on archive: Only show as archive in other panel if ENTER would also open it as an archive (e.g. for .zip, but not for .docx) (32/64)
