Copy from Explorer Window to TC Folder and ...

... keep folder structure.

If I open an explorer window and select a folder with sub-folders and lay that next to an open folder with TC, and drag and drop, I get the folder, and the files outside it.

Not so explorer window to explorer window.

A setting I didn't set somewhere after all these years?

Sounds quite strange. I don't know any option to do as you write, when I drag folder from Explorer to TC, it always copies it as is, putting all files inside. Please show exact steps with some sample folder e.g. from Windows dir...

D-Click My Computer|C|My Documents. Select a folder in it and drag to an open folder in TC, say Temp 1 (the explorer window is atop TC), and when it finished you have a folder called pictures which is empty, and all the pictures that WERE in it are in the root of the folder.
I could embed a screen pic if you need.

BTW, just checked another machine with V8.01 and it works correctly.

I just realized this only happens when pulling files out of Acronis TrueImage. Local window to TC works fine.
So I'm out of luck - left a message on Acronis's forums, but never had luck with them before.

It seems that Acronis doesn't transfer relative paths on drag, and TC just pastes what it get.

We it does, if it's window to window, not window to TC.

SO if anyone else this problem they'll know!

Probably it uses internal data format for drag-and-drop between its windows but sends wrong data for external applications.

How does it copy into local dir in Explorer?

not confirmed with Acronis 2013. Work fine with TC 8.51a x64
