How to Display Synchronize directories windows

Post by *jaysanati »

Hi,

my suggestion is using tree view for displaying the folders and files in synchronize directories window.
this way we can collapse the subfolders which are not important to compare. also it is more manageable for long lists of files.

How would this differ from the Synchronise command that summarises differences for you?

I can also imagine an improvement in this direction. Instead of changing to a tree view it would be sufficient for me to add two commands to the right click menu of a folder:

- Hide/Show files in folder
- Hide/Show files in folder an subfolders

Executing one of these commands would work in the same way as the filters in the 'Show' group of toggle buttons. This includes updating the filter counters and 'files found' area in the status bar.

For the 2nd proposed command (Hide/Show files in folder an subfolders) I'm not quite sure if the subfolder headers (displaying the folder name) should also be hidden/shown. I guess this has pros/cons.
