Wish: quicker closing off "compare contents" view

(very) small enhancement suggestion for this nice tool:

i compare 2 files by content and edit one of the files with the splitview still open.

if i want to close the view now (via pressing x in window top right corner) i get the dialog "File(s) modified, recompare?" and after pressing "yes" or "no" the view is still open.

so instead of simply closing the view (1 click on X) i have to perform 3 clicks. is it possible to subdue the file content changed event after pressing X?
