Browse / list web page content in TC panel?

Post by *Giovanni »

Can I browse a remote site and download files natively with TC?
I know that I can connect and download a remote file like this:
CTRL+N the enter http:\\live.sysinternals.com\autoruns.exe
This will automatically retrieve the remote file to my local drive.
But I want to get a file listing of live.sysinternals.com in TC's pane.
Entering the address in the path bar above the file list does not work.
Am I missing something or is it just not possible without a plugin?

Make a WebDAV connection in Explorer. That connection should then show up in TC (cm_OpenDrives).

You could also use any cloud plugin; for Sysinternals it would be the WebDAV plugin which is available in Network neighborhood after its installation. Note however that this method makes the connections available to/in TC only. And, you might not be able to directly launch files from there (not sure).

Yes, I had used the plugin, but was hoping that it could be done without it since I can download the file directly.

Giovanni,
Try HTTP Browser or HTTP SmartBrowser - http://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm .

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Thank you too, but again I was assuming that there was a native way of doing it.
