Go to base directory on locked tab when panel is not active

Post by *Sektor »

There's a new feature in TC 9 - "Click on tab header with "locked but directory changed allowed" returns to base directory of that tab". This is really useful feature. However, it works only if the panel of this tab is active.
Could you make so this would work when the panel of this tab is NOT active? Thanks.

It works fine for me under following conditions:
wincmd.ini / section: [configuration] / entry: DirTabOptions=2043
.. which means ..

Sum of the following options:
1: Tabs always visible
2: Tabs on multiple lines
4: All tabs have the same width
8: Tab text length limit enabled (see DirTabLimit)
16: Confirm "Close all tabs"
32: Close tabs with a double click
64: Open new tabs in the foreground
128: Open new tabs near the current tab
256: Show an asterisk * for locked tabs
512: Activate target panel when clicking on one of its tabs

Configuration -> Folder Tabs -> All ticked, without "All tabs have same width".
Maybe you have not ticked "Active target panel when clicking on one of its Tabs"?

Regards,
Karl

I think it doesn't work for the first click because first click activates panel just like in any other case, and this may confuse people if first click will do some other thing.

Indeed this is intentional, because many people use a click on the tab to activate the panel.
