Missing updating of icons when changing setup

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Missing updating of icons when changing setup

Post by *petermad »

This is not a TC9 problem, it also applies to TC 8.52a, but maybe it is time to fix/change it.

If I turn the option "Show icons for special folders: Normal file system" ON then all the folder icons set via Desktop.ini are updated, but when I turn the option OFF I have to perform a diretory change and go back to see the special folder icons removed.

Since changes to the other file list icon options are now updated immediately, it would be nice if this option was too.

TC would have to re-read both directories to fix this, so I prefer not to do it, sorry.

Well, if TC is currently re-reading the directories when turning the option ON, I don't se why you cannot do it when turning the option OFF...

It's not that easy, the icons are cached.
