I was just testing the FTPOPEN command and was wondering what the difference is between:
FTPOPEN session_name|/subdir and FTPOPEN session_name|*/subdir
Refering to the helpfile:
In case 1 it connects to the preferred file panel.
In case 2 it connects to the active file panel.
Can someone explain the difference between the preferred- and the active file panel.
I've tested both parameters and can't see any difference. Both were opened in the active panel.
Preferred file panel

FVG,
Configuration - Options - FTP - Open new connections
perhaps?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Re: Preferred file panel
Yes indeed, the preferred file panel is the one you set in Configuration - Options - FTP - Open new connections. For example, if you set this to the right panel, case 1 would connect in the right panel too. Case 2 would connect in the active panel. So if the left panel is active, case 2 would connect in the left panel, and case 1 in the right.
