Plese post here, it is a Hotmail test

Post by *Thorz »

I am having problems that all the reply notifications are been sent to the junk folder in Hotmail, even after I have included the domain and address in the safe list filter of hotmail. They are going to investigate the issue but I need some new auto reply emails now for that they can see what is happening.

I appreciate that you post here for generating traffic, thank you.

Thanks guys. I hope that they can see what is happening. For beeing hotmail so big they customer support was quite fast (took them 1 day to answer), it is much quicker than some support of shareware that I own.

Thanks again, I will keep you informed.

@Sir_SiLvA: What is GMX?

GMX is one of the best email providers in Germany:
http://www.gmx.net

Very reliable, fast, 1GB storage capacity directly accessible from TC via WebDAV plugin.

... directly accessible from TC via WebDAV plugin.
@Icfu: Thanks for that information! :)

@All:

I've downloaded and installed the plugin - and it seems to work.
But I couldn't manage to get access to my mails on GMX. :(

Is it possible to:
- read and write mails on gmx.net?
- keep username and password for next accesses?
- add servers to the list?
Which additional servers are available?

Short, where can I get help with some more information about this plugin?

Thanks in advance :)

This plugin is not for accessing your emails but for accessing the GMX MediaCenter, the place where you can store your data up to 1GB and share with other GMX users.

Open tcwebdav.ini, it's in wincmd.ini directory:

Code: Select all

[Entryname]
server=https://mediacenter.gmx.net
user=your_emailaddress
ssl=1
You can't save your password.

The second email that I got from Hotmail was from a totally jerk, he was claiming that the reply notifications were been sent like a mailing list and not directly to me. What a @#$%! If this doesn't change I will have to change my email address in the forum to one of my private ones :(

@Icfu: Thanks for your help, but ...
Open tcwebdav.ini, it's in wincmd.ini directory
No, unfortunately it wasn't there. More worse - it didn't exist anywhere.
I've searched all drives for tcwebdav.* and webdav.* - nothing!

Then I built tcwebdav.ini manually, copied the code posted by Icfu and edited my email adress.
No success - I must type everything in every time I start WebDAV. :(

How to set up WebDAV using an GMX account:

1. Open Network Neighborhood, enter into WebDAV and press [F7]. Input some name
(e.g. "My GMX") into the makedir prompt and press [ENTER] to access the Connectiondialog.

2. From the dropdown box "LOAD DEFAULT SETTINGS FOR" select entry GMX Secure Server,
Serverdetails will be set automaticly. Alternately you can choose GMX (Germany) but this
Server supports unsecure datatransfer (no encryption) only.

3. Enter your GMX Customer account (7 digits) into field "user name". Before you'll be able
to fill in the field "Password" you have to finish the Configuration once. A new entry given
the name you have entered previously in the makedir dialog appears.

4. Enter into the new entry to reopen the Connectiondialog. Now you are able to input your
Password (GMX Emailpassword). Press [Enter] to open an connection to the GMX Mediacenter.

          WebDAV settings:
  • Connect to: https://mediacenter.gmx.net
    User name: GMX Customer account (e.g. 1234567)
    Password : Emailpassword
    Options : only Secure Server is selected

Look what Hotmail has answered about this issue:

I have reviewed the message you received from forumadmin@ghisler.com, which you provided with full headers. I think that it's really a joke that they expect *anyone* to register at a commercial whitelist provider just because they are too stupid to offer their users an anti spam protection that doesn't create false positives or at least to offer them the possibility to disable their anti spam protection completely.

Drop hotmail.com and choose a serious provider.
