Hello dear author and all people involved. First of all, honorable Christian, thank you for Total Commander! I bought it in 2008 and cannot imagine PC without this program.
Well, as title says, simple is that, I suppose. I would like to suggest new visual function - text shadow (or even a stoke maybe?) to create more contrast between colored text and light backgound.
After 12 years using black themes everywhere and black appearance for TotalCMD I started using light Windows theme and light TotalCMD appearance and came to this conclusion:
colored text on dark/black background always looks very bright and readable, but on light/white backgound a slightly colored text is definitely loosing the clarity of view. Thus, the question is, how to increase clarity of slightly colored text on light backgound? I think adding shadow effect will definitely make things better. Also it will allow to use loght yellow color on light background and other very light colors.
I made a comparasion picture from screenshot to demonstrate visuals just as an exmple:

I understand that adding shadow effect will degrage graphical performance but I think this function is much needed for next version of Total Commander, at least the "define colors by file type" feature will become more justified and sought after for light themes and more complex color highliting schemes.
Much needed visual feature for light appearance - text shadow
