tc ignore: How to to hide file on whole partition ?

I want to hide "desktop.ini" files on the whole "D" partition

such a record does not work

Making the file hidden from a search

You could use the search tool Everything, https://www.voidtools.com. Exclude that file from the index in Everything. Running a search in Everything, or TC set up to use Everything as its search engine, would not find the file.

Go to Configuration > Options > Ignore list and press the Help button there (or F1 on the keyboard). It explains what the ignore list can and can't do.

TL;DR: I don't think it's possible to achieve what you want. You can either hide desktop.ini in a specific location (with an absolute path) or in all locations, but not on a single volume.
