File icons for ico files

I recently installed an icon editor and associated ico files with that app. As the ico files are now associated with a program, the TC started to show for all ico files the icon from the associated program. However it is always desired to show the actual stored icon within an ico file instead of its associated program. Is it possible to add a switch for that in the options? I think that the behavior is rather wished in general and I think it will be ok to hard-code this exception into the file icons - for ico files always display the icon from the file instead of icon from the associated program.

Regardless of the problem, why did you allow the tool to associate ico files ?
There is no need for it to use an icon editor.
I have many of it and use whatever is the best for the current task.

You can try to change the associated icon in
Files - Associate - Edit type - Change icon
to
%1 or "%1" to make Total Commander and Explorer load the icon from the actual icon file.
