Separate columns (with a line or a color)

Post by *Marc23 »

Hi,

In detaisl mode, the date and size numbers can sometimes be too close and get mixed up.

Would it be possible to put a vertical border line on the columns or give the possibility to color the columns or color text/date/size?

Perhaps font weight could be done, but I don't see colors happening anytime soon (discussed in various threads)
hi5 wrote: 2022-07-06, 19:05 UTC I doubt that will be possible but I did see a new feature in XYplorer recently "Make The Name Column Stand Out. Now you can dim the other columns slightly to highlight the name column." (so name is black, other columns a lighter shade) maybe that is doable, maybe not.

I use unicode char with code x258C (or similar) as a left/rightmost char with left/right alignment. Result is here:

But if this feature will be internal it would be great!

If this is implemented, please make it optional - I don't need a line between the size and date columns (or other columns), I can just adjust the width of the columns to give more space between them.
