The above one is prefered when the words are same in the history of input-text-box in "Multi-Rename Tool".

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

# environment
TC 11.50b4 64bit
Windows 24h2 64bit

# wetransfer (7 days), mp4

# steps to reproduce
In Multi-Rename Tool,
1. Add "A", "a" in "search for".
2. Add "X", "x" in "replace with".
3. Click "show-input-history button" using mouse.
4. Press Arrow-Down key repeatedly until highlithing the lower case "a", "x". // Do not use mouse.
5. Press Enter.
--> "A", "X" is selected instead of "a", "x".
--> This occurs in all the input-text-boxes in "Multi-Rename Tool".

Confirmed. But even though the lowercase letter is shown in the field the result will use the capital letter if it was selected. No such problems when selecting with the mouse, only with the keyboard.

This is unfortunately how Windows works. I'm not doing any selection here, it's all done by the Windows combobox control.
