Bellow is the snippet of items in my "Change directory menu" window. I have assigned F8 to cm_DirectoryHotlist command. So, when I type "F8ba" currently active directory is changed to D:\Backup\, and this works great. But sometimes, by accident, I type F8r and currently active directory gets deleted from directory hotlist. Optional Confirmation for "Remove current dir" in directory hotlist menu will be appreciated.

While I am at it, I would like to have an option to remove "Add/remove current dir" & "Configure" items from directory hotlist menu and replace it with cm_somecommand. But this is not very important.

You could
1st: add a wcmd_eng.lng (and *.mnu) to your %COMMANDER_PATH%\Language directory
2nd: choose it as your language
3rd: edit in wcmd_eng.lng the string "1147=&Remove current dir" to e.g. "1147=Remove current dir &°" (or something else - important is to change the shortcut to something difficulty)
