I have run into another strange goings-on with the right-click. If I right-click on a ZIP file, the first time it works fine. If I do it a second time, it closes TC. I have removed ALL of the shell extensions per Mr. Ghisler's instructions and it still does it only on ZIP files so far. All other files seem to work fine. Anyone else run into this?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

I'm running Win XP Pro. I wonder if it has anything to do with that?

I doubt that... Does TC close properly on the second right-click or does it crash? Do you have something defined in your mouse driver software that might be causing this?

TIA

It closes on the second click but only for ZIP files now, nothing else. RAR, TXT, NFO and others it doesn't close on, just ZIP. Negative on the mouse driver being the problem.

You should check the shell extensions for zip files, usually under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\zip_file\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

where "zip_file" is the text found as the default value in the key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zip

It's probably some misbehaving zip archiver. Just follow the instructions described above to remove bad shell extensions, but with this key isntead of *.
