Steps to reproduce:
01. Enter to an FS (wfx) plugin inside Total Commander (which has internal icons for files / folders!) [for example Device Manager]
02. Type "cm_ColorConfig" (without quotes) to TC's command line, and press Enter
03. Change the background color to something else
04. The FS plugin's icons background hasn't changed (guess because it's cached) [screenshot]
... however in case you:
05. Enter to another FS plugin, then
06. Enter back into the original FS plugin: the background color of the icons becomes correct [screenshot]
Suggestion: Maybe TC should clear the icons cache on changing (background) colors (?)

Yes, it's cached - the cache is cleared when you change the color, but the current directory isn't reloaded for speed reasons. I think that this is a reasonable compromise.
