I've posted bug to Jan Fiala's (author of PSPad) page

http://pspad.nlift.com/issues/390/portable-version-problem/

If there is a problem in PSPad, I hope he'll find it :)

Have a nice day, Roman

I use
Editor for F4:
%Commander_Path%\..\PSPad\PSPad.exe

In TC I browse to
c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\

I select an XML file, press F4, and it is opened in PSPad without any problem.
No matter if PSPad was closed or run with other files opened,

I tried your F4 command for file
c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\test.TXT

No success ... the same problem
What versions of mentioned SW (TC and PSPad) do you use?

Cannot reproduce the problem with portable PSPad editor & the settings given above (though i used the latest & an installed TC version - makes no sense to try it out with an older version -, which you should use too :P) - no matter PSPad is running or not, on my PC it always opens the file correctly that i select and press F4 on (even if multiple documents are already opened in the editor).

That one works well for me: "%COMMANDER_PATH%\..\PSPadEditor\PSPad.exe" (i use it without the quotes)

OS: Win7SP1 (x32)
TC: 8.01RC4 (x32)
PSPad: 4.5.6 (2427)

portable Total Commander 8.01 rc2
portable PSPad editor 2411 + 2447

Send command line (as seen in ProcExp):
X:\ToCo8\..\PSPad\PSPad.exe "c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\OSPP.VBS"

Doubble click in windows explorer works too.
But does double click in Windows Explorer work OK when PSPad is already running?

Maybe he clicks the "F4 Edit" button in the Function key buttons bar below the Command line - no harm in that.

MVV wrote:It seems like PSPad's bug (maybe it unquotes command line parameter and passes to already started copy and it parses it as filelist). Try to open that file in PSPad via Explorer when PSPad is already started.
There is no such problem in PSPad for me.
If the editor is already running I can add additional files from TC using F4.
The editor just opems the new file in a new tab even if the path and filename contain spaces.

Yes, on my keybord is F4 key (top left corner)
Maybe he clicks the "F4 Edit" button in the Function key buttons bar below the Command line - no harm in that.
"F4 Edit" should do the same action as F4 on keyboard ...
But does double click in Windows Explorer work OK when PSPad is already running?
Yes, does.
