That logo it very retro now and I would sadly miss it :-)

You could do something like Irfanview software, as some say it has a rather ugly "road kill" red and white logo. It has in the config menu to a few other alternatives for file association. Maybe something like that would make those who want something "modern" happy. With a little tweaking of the current logo you could make it look like an SD card then in 10 years time we can argue that no one uses SD cards 8)

You can always create a new shortcut and reassign the logo on that _ I do that for Irfanview. Irfanview have stuck with their "official" logo branded on their exe file and website despite user feedback :-)

I think if your really passionate about changing the logo you can use a resource editor and tweak your exe file (you will need to do it after every update).

Nope you cant TC would allways quit working becuase of the change checksum...

@Phred: sorry your your logic is flawed beyond reason.
You see a Floppy Disc and think "uh thats old and has to go" but as Balderstrom said its TCs Logo....
But I doubt you can UNDERSTAND the difference...

I stead you can extract TC's internal icons to an .icl file and then change the first icon to your liking.

To use it, put the IconLib= parameter in the [Configuration] section of your wincmd.ini file - for example:

Code: Select all

IconLib=%COMMANDER_PATH%\new-logo.icl
You can download an example of such an .icl file here: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/new-logo.icl
