I don't need to search in foreground at all;
how do I set Searching-for-files in the background (alt+f7) as default behavior ?
EDIT: found a workaround:
map the Alt+F7 to search in the background:
configuration > misc. > hotkeys > cm_search_standalone

I mostly edit my settings manually (using a text editor), I kept on entering cm_search_standalone earlier and nothing was happening! lol
