Shift-F6 - Up/Down move to prev / next file
Hi all,
I'd like to suggest that up / down arrow keys move to previous / next file when editing the file name using Shift-F6, accepting the changes done to the currently edited file name.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Mmh, what happens on a name collision that occurs when (accidentally) pressing Up/Down?

Well, OK, but the current status does not have confirmations everywhere. Anyways, for you, I am willing to make this feature optional using the INI key InplaceRenameArrowNextFile=1.I prefer manual confirmations for all save operations

This will actually be in TC9, it's already implemented. In case of a name collision, TC will show an overwrite confirmation dialog, where the user can choose a different name via "Rename". Once the dialog is gone, the cursor jumps to the next/previous file.
I have already implemented it in April 2015. Unfortunately new version releases are currently delayed because I cannot find a good icon designer, and the automatic panel look changes per directory are also stalled.

Maybe you could use just simple icon stubs for beta versions to allow parallel testing and designing? E.g. you can draw some letters in a square on icons...ghisler(Author) wrote:Unfortunately new version releases are currently delayed because I cannot find a good icon designer, and the automatic panel look changes per directory are also stalled.

Have you tried to make an invitation to tender - on a project platform or a design-oriented portal like https://dasauge.de/profile/designer/ or https://dasauge.ch/profile/designer/Unfortunately new version releases are currently delayed because I cannot find a good icon designer
Would be interesting to know more about this challenges.the automatic panel look changes per directory are also stalled.

I'm looking for a company who offers stock icons since most icons in TC are for generic functions like copying. This way, only exotic functions would need icons designed from scratch. Unfortunately none of the suggestions I made were pleasing people here in the forum...

So why not to collect stock sets that match your criteria (Aero style) and somehow make a decision between them? I think there are quite a few good sets mentioned in the German thread. They are of course not exceptionally good - that would be exceptionally expensive. I don't think it's required for buttonbar icons. Just good icons would do.
I think a good stock icon set can be good to find the desired style - at least when the style is consistent over the set. I wouldn't expect more than a few icons from such a set which can be used without changes. Most icons will be custom.I'm looking for a company who offers stock icons since most icons in TC are for generic functions like copying.
