Hm, I'm sorry to disappoint you once more :wink:, but this still doesn't occur here even with the specified setting. This gets more and more obscure...

You know what? Now that i fiddled around with the maximize settings, i cannot reproduce it either!!

Xnview is now probably running hidden in the background (as it should) - then TC will not start it a second time. Just close and re-open TC, or wait 60 seconds to make the hidden xnview close.

Erm, what? This issue becomes more and more absurd with every post :D

What if you clear the ini and try it again? Does the issue reappear? If yes, maybe the reason could be an non-existing ini entry, that is written to xnview.ini not before the first time you set Xnviews startup behaviour explicitly. Of course that's quite speculative...

Ok, I found the config entry causing the problem:
General / Startup / Only one Instance: ON

An XnView is already running, TC starts another process, and seemingly there is a communication problem between TC and XN, hence TC consumes 100% processor time, loses the focus, etc :-)

congrats for finding that :D Indeed my XNview is setted to multiple instances, with only one instance I (finally) could reproduce that...
