Ive been using windows commander now Total commander since 1996. I replaced Dos Navigator with Windows commander back in the day and i was happy how much windows commander was like my beloved Dos Navigator.
Im a registerd user of Total Commander at home.
At office i have to use a free alternative due to company polices.
Ive compared all files managers under windows that are similar with Total Commander and these are my suggestions.
Suggestions.
1.I would like to be able to have .EXE,BAT,COM. files showed first in list even (if column in sorted by name). This should be implemented in Display->Sorting (where you can define groups, like ".EXE,BAT,COM" or whatever you want to be displayed first). This was a nice option that Dos Navigator had and i miss this very much

2.When copy/move files the window should be on a separate thread by default (without pressing the background button). ex: Double Commander, Unreal Commander.
3. Should have also a nice free disk space bar above tabs. ex: ex: Double Commander, Unreal Commander.
4.Que window from copy/move file to remember position and layout.
Hope I'm not upsetting anybody by suggesting some features from other file managers. Because i don't think this should be a matter of who is copying who. Double Commander and Unreal Commander are very much inspired by Total Commander as Windows Commander was inspired by Dos Navigator and Norton Commander back in the day.
Best Regards
Mark
